Biography
Samuel Allaman is a Swiss-born cultural force based in Antwerp, Belgium. As a DJ, visual artist, and venue manager, he moves fluidly between disciplines—connecting communities, empowering young talent, and crafting immersive experiences that combine sound, image, and social impact. Under his DJ alias DJ ALL-MAN, he’s known for his eclectic and nostalgic sets, while his visual art alter ego SALLAMAN dives deep into psychedelic visuals that pulsate in harmony with electronic music. He is also the venue manager at Kavka Oudaan, a cornerstone of Antwerp’s youth culture, and the driving force behind Lokaal Talent, a project that enables emerging organizers to create their own events.
Samuel’s creative journey began as a teenager in Antwerp, where he started frequenting events at Kavka Oudaan. Inspired by the energy of those nights, he began volunteering at 16—first behind the bar and coat check, and later as a production assistant. Over the years, he gradually mastered the inner workings of event production. This organic immersion laid the foundation for his professional life, culminating in his role as venue manager today. In parallel, he pursued studies in Social Work at Karel de Grote-hogeschool, graduating in 2022.
Samuel’s passion for music was sparked when a friend gifted him a few drum & bass records. Curious about mixing, he saved up for a second-hand DJ setup. Early practice sessions were challenging, but he sought guidance in places like Jong Valaar, where local DJs mentored him, and eventually in Kavka itself. It was there—after showing relentless dedication to open practice sessions—that he was encouraged to set up his own initiative. That moment marked the birth of Jammings, a DJ collective focused on nurturing emerging talent.
Initially performing under the alias Zamouzik, Samuel started playing smaller drum & bass gigs. However, eager to connect with broader audiences, he embraced versatility and reinvented himself as DJ ALL-MAN—a name that reflected his willingness to play all styles, for all people. Since then, his adaptability and vibrant energy have led him to major stages, including Tomorrowland and Elrow Festival in 2019.
In 2020, during the pandemic, Samuel dove deeper into visual arts. He acquired a visual mixer from Versuz Club and began experimenting with real-time visual effects, building the foundation for his alias SALLAMAN. This practice evolved into full-blown immersive experiences, where his visuals became an essential part of the parties he organized, such as Deep Dream, a concept focused on dreamy, psychedelic environments.
Samuel is also behind numerous notable party concepts, including High Voltage (a series of powerful drum & bass events), Head On (a monthly DnB collaboration with Ritual and Break Point), and more. Many of these projects were co-founded with rising names in the scene, such as Simon Ooms (now of Afgestudeerd and Ranzig Raven).
Whether it’s coordinating young event creators through Lokaal Talent, guiding new DJs via Jammings, or building multisensory environments as SALLAMAN, Samuel Allaman’s work is rooted in a clear mission: to uplift communities, expand creative possibilities, and make space for others to shine.
